HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS!
Warning: This entire post is highly sacrilegious. I am going to hell. If you are offended by people poking fun at religion, please save yourself the trouble and leave. Oh, also, warning for dial-up users. SO MANY PICTURES!
Today, Allison (half of
loves2stalku) and I decided to bake a cake to celebrate Jesus. Originally it was going to be a real cake, but then we discovered that neither of us actually like cake, so we made a cookie-cake instead!
Allison was very hungry.
Then we felt it necessary to make gang signs. Allison was wearing red, and therefore a BLOOD. Here is her amazing gang sign!
Then we got down to actually making our cake. We decided to shape it like a cross in honor of Jesus. (Note the "JC." We love initials.)
This is when we decided we were going to hell. That quickly became the catchphrase of the afternoon.
Then is was 3.14. We stopped for a moment to bask in the radiance of "Pi Time."
Then it was time to bake our cake. In the meantime, Molly's friend Kaitlyn showed up with fruit cake.
None of us had ever tried fruit cake. Molly and Kaitlyn offered to be guinea pigs. Kaitlyn has no idea what is in store for her:
The first bite:
Oh, and it's horrible!
Molly thinks so too. (She is also incredibly photogenic!)
Oh no! We forgot about our cake!
Dear me, it spread quite a bit. We weren't prepared for this.
It's okay, we cut it down to size. We also decorated it. Mmm, gel frosting!
Allison did a great job making Jesus' face and crown of chocolate-chip thorns. We also wrote our initials on the cake. See my "EG + JC"? It's love.
Here's a picture of Allison during the decorating process. I told her I would delete this picture. I lied. SORRY ALLISON!
Then it was time for candles! We all gathered round to wish Jesus a happy birthday (after all, it was his birthday in Singapore or .. somewhere..)
Jesus was touched.
Then it was time for us to eat the cake. I ate Jesus!
Kaitlyn ate Jesus' heart. She prefaced it by saying, "Get ready for me down there!" and motioning at the floor. Again, we are all going to hell.
Molly got a little carried away.
Then it was time to clean up.
OH NO I BROKE JESUS!
We had to throw Jesus in the trash. There was glass EVERYWHERE.
After the tragedy of losing Jesus, we decided to watch our favorite movie: Elf.
Molly was VERY excited!
Very excited.
Then when the lights went out, I went in for the kiss!
Allison was very frightened.
And so ends our tale of friendship and love. We hope Jesus was very pleased with his birthday party. We certainly were!
Hope you have a great birthday Jesus!
(I'll probably make a real update later, but I thought I'd welcome in Jesus' birthday in style.)
