At at time in my life where the crushing pace of work prevents me from doing almost anything I enjoy, writing about politics is *not* something I really want to spend what little time I have doing. The other issue with this idiotic policy is that getting rid of the insurance requirement makes it more likely that private insurance will fail. They won't be able to afford to cover everyone if they can't risk pool. So they'll go bankrupt. And then the government will be force to step in. The Republicans will be responsible for forcing out the private sector, yet they'll blame the Dems for 'big government!' It gives me such a headache.

Wow, you are mad! With good reason. This is pushing me into another of my "I hate people" moods.

I'ma console myself with the likelihood of SCOTUS looking unkindly on this particular idiocy.

Also? I'm confused about the GOP (aka the party of Big Business) *not* wanting insurance companies to get more customers.

I made it a point to go to the polls to vote against it (on a day with a heat index of 110). I couldn't believe the landslide. Sigh. Very sad.
