Ashu had been resting for the past few days, only popping into the Nexus once during that time and it wasn't for long. Today she was feeling a lot better and had gotten everything ready for when she planned on leaving. Squittens are in the care of her younger brother, after having to pay him to do so, the same with Stupid Robot the hamster and now

"Be there in a minute!" Zane called from somewhere in the apartment.

There were a few thumps from inside, and a muted curse, before he opened the door, blinking a bit bemusedly at Ashu.

"Hello there. Usually you call ahead, Ash," he said, moving aside to let her in.

"Hi," she said, sheepishy as she entered the apartment. "I do, but I felt like surprising you today."

"Yeah, well, the place is a bit of a mess, I warn you now. Spring cleaning and all," Zane said, grinning a bit.

Ashu chuckled. "But it's almost the middle of summer now. You're a bit late."

She did watch where she was going though.

"I actually wanted to tell you something, Zane."

[not_in_zane]

"Well I was busy in the Spring," Zane said, laughing a little as if that explained everything.

He looked at her a bit sideways though at that pronouncement. "Then tell me."

Another chuckle, and then her expression becomes serious.

"I'm taking... A break, for a bit."

[not_in_zane]

"A break?" Zane asked, arching an eyebrow as he looked at her.

[turnabout_girl]

"Yeah, gonna hop around the multiverse and not give a sh--care about anyone but myself for awhile," Ashu replied, looking at Zane and still completely serious.

[not_in_zane]

"You'll be careful, right? And try not to get lost? Trust me, getting lost in the multiverse is a pain in the ass. You aren't always able to get home again," Zane said, making a slight face.

[turnabout_girl]

"I will, and I've got my PINpoint with the Nexus set as the default return point," Ashu said, smiling slightly. "And, um, can you not tell anyone else that I'm doing this?"

Zane arched an eyebrow.

"Why don't you want anyone else to know? And how long are you planning on being gone, Ash?"

"Because I know certain people would have a fit if they found out, because they think I can't take care of myself. And I dunno," she shrugs. "A while."

[not_in_zane]

"All right, I'll keep my mouth shut. And not tell Proto where you're going. Or even that you're going," Zane said with a knowing smirk.

"Thank you," Ashu said before leaning towards Zane and kissing him on the cheek. "And hopefully you won't mind me coming to see you as soon as I come back?"

"Nah. Just be careful, Ash. And don't get lost. Getting lost sucks," Zane said, smiling at the kiss.

"I won't get lost!" Ashu huffed at Zane, giving him a look. "Anyways if I got lost you'd be lonely."
