Yes, he survived the suicide attempt.
Yes, he's a little more off kilter than he would normally be, but his memories are intact. This addledness will slowly work itself out. No, it won't cause him to suddenly be all huggable and cutesy. He won't call you sweetums or text you sweet endearments.
