I'm not very big on enforcing these, but as a common courtesy to others, if your fic includes some heavier topics like rape, incest, death or racist/homophobic material (more on this one below), please leave a warning if you feel it's needed. If one of these topics are mentioned in passing, you probably don't need a warning. However, if the entire theme of your prompt/fill is centered around one of these topics, maybe a warning would be nice. Use your own judgement.
On racism and homophobia: Yes, both were prevalent at the time. So if some of these topics are featured in the fills, that isn't a problem. HOWEVER. Blatant, unrelated, and uncalled for racism and homophobia WILL NOT be tolerated. Because, really. C'mon, guys.
