Valkyria Chronicles 2

I'm in April in Valkyria Chronicles 2. I'm working on replaying a few missions to get a better grade and train my troops. I use mostly shock troopers, though its starting to look like some variety might be needed. This is like Disgaea in the sense that I love the characters but don't really like the gameplay. I don't like strategy games, they bore me. I'm impatient and want to rush in to kill everything in my path like with an overly leveled RPG character. I still like the characters so that keeps me playing. My favorites are still Zeri and Avan. I want to have one of each class in my team so I'll slowly train them for that. Avan, Zeri and Erik are my strongest.
The escort mission... -.- I don't like playing bodyguard! I couldn't kill Dirk and was running out of turns. In the end I had to rush the tank-thing past his line of fire... in reverse to protect the weak spot in the back. So yeah, I got impatient and rushed passed the big boss in reverse. Then waster an entire turn parting the stupid vehicle and finally got through the mission. All the other missions have been easy, that's the only one I couldn't get through on my first try so far, even if I had grinded a little before going for it.
I'm also trying to unlock character events now. It looks like stuff happens after the characters participate in a certain amount of battles or get credits or something. How do you get certificates anyway? I'll have to look that up, since I've just been grinding until they randomly appear. I got the scene with Juliana and the scientist at the headmaster's office. I have a theory about Dirk and Leon. The mention of a special mission was what brought that theory to mind. I wonder how it will end for Juliana... I won't miss her.
I just saw Leo and Luna and Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds, they're so amusing. XD
