Playing Blade Dancer for the PSP. Lance (main dude) is a weakling at first but decent after a few levels. I just got the Go-something, the second character. I'm off to slay a wolf thing, but the main guy's monkey ran away so he dished his ally and chased the monkey... yeah, that's what's happened so far. It's rather grindy.
I watched the Place Promised in our Early Days, nice setting, super lame story. Good concepts, horrible plot. How can such an epic would be so full of fail? I also watched Summer Wars, which was much better. Not wow, but good with a calm yet adventurous feel to it similar to some Miyazaki movies... except for the part about ripping off the first Digimon movie. It's summer, a bunch of kids are on the internet, yeah pretty similar. Their avatar take the roles of the digimon (except for being only avatars rather separate characters) and a virus takes the role of the evil Digimon. It affects all the net and thus all electronics, just like in the Digimon movie. Then they powerup their avatar and go off to fight the virus, pretty standard. While all of this happens, there are a few subplots, family stuff, friend stuff, etc. It's like a non-Digimon remake of Digimon with a DS commercial mixed in, still amusing though. I like the fighting bunny, he's cute. ^^
