Chrono Trigger: Flames of Eternity

I've been posting at Playfire a lot as I play through Chrono Trigger: Flames of Eternity Still having lots of fun with it. Currently nearing the end of the 3rd Emerald Dream chapter.

The game is full of funny references to everything from Donkey Kong to Futurama.
What's with the scene with the reptites saying Glenn isn't human during the Emerald Dream chapters? In the map he's a frog but that's just the mini sprite. In game the human sprite is used, is this dialogue from a previous version where he was left as a frog? It is said Magus power has weakened (though really he's still strong, his spells are just slightly different and focus more on shadow rather than multiple elements.) so that "weakening" could be why Glenn is human added to that the disturbances in time. That aside, Glenn claims as an excuse to be a shapeshifter... it does sound like old pre-human sprite dialogue.
As a random note according to Magus they're space mercenaries (Star Fox much?) Okay so it's not exactly what he says, to get what I mean you have to actually play... or at least read more details at Playfire. They're IC for the most part save some moment where Magus loses his cranky and Gleen is sarcastically friendly. All in all as an aftermath game, all things considered, still possible.
