Ys: The Oath in Felghana
Beat Ys: The Oath in Felghana. It's like Legend of Zelda with a redhead Link that can level up. Overall Adol, the main character is kins of blah because there are too many silent heroes around... It wouldn't be so bad if the narrator didn't step in with Adol did this and Adol said that. Let him do it, sure it says to imagine you were he, but the narration is a contradiction to that. Chester was still my favorite character but other than being awesome eye candy he doesn't stand out that much except he feels familiar... That's it! His situation has some similarities with Ureksa! I should write about that on my site. XD
Overall it was a fun game, though the plot was kind of predictable... except for SPOILER!!! Chester's sacrifice at the end, I wanted him to live! There was relatively little character development, but it was still fun to run and jump around. This game's a lot like Legend of Zelda, but with level up, which makes me like it so much more. I've always wanted Link to level up, but I don't picture him depending on anything other than the classic hearts any time soon.
I'm going to play the first Ys next from the Chronicles UMD that had 1 and 2. It gives me the option to play the 2009 or 2001 version. I don't know the difference *google* No difference except the art style, I'm going with the newest. I'll blog about how it goes.
