two things. i'm just about to start reading jitterbug perfume, after i finish fierce invalids. and i can attest to the new william shatner cd. it IS awesome.
another fan! shatner is going to do mighty well with this, i'll bet.
and yes, i have to finish Dry before i can move on to the next two books, but i have heard nothing but good things about it. i totally slacked off on reading this week. oops.

Hard Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World by Haruki Murakami is one of my favorites ever, also recommended to me by someone at the time of that old entry. It's impossible to describe, so i won't even try. most reviews / synopsises of the book make it seem like really dorky sci-fi, but it's a really unique, spacey book that is far from cliche.
also, Running with Scissors by Augusten Burroughs, a memoir that is true but so crazy it reads like fiction. he wrote a sequel based on his life as an adult in 2002, Dry, which i am reading now. great books.
