So I had a crazy go nuts weekend.
First off, my birthday is on the 17th, Mike Mullin however, believed it to begin on the 1st, and continue through the 4th. Not that I minded being wished a happy birthday every day for 3 days, but just for the sake of clarification, it is on the 17th. I'd be remiss if I didn't say I was expecting some serious swag.
Friday I went to Harrisonburg to visit Lisa and be her arm candy for the Annual Senior Nurses Formal. It was pretty sweet, good eats, a mad hot girlfriend, whom you can be jealous of me for landing by viewing her webshots here:
http://community.webshots.com/album/313424613iBJVMh After the formal we went back to Lisa's town house and were just hanging out in her room when we heard 4 loud pops outside at like 1:30am. I looked out the window, people running, screaming. Gunshots. In Harrisonburg. JMU. WHAT? I called 911 and was told someone else had called and was able to give more info, so I hung up and Lisa and I waited for the cops to show up. They were in her complex for like 8.2 minutes. So I called back the non-emergency number and was told that no investigation was occurring and that no arrests had been made. So either it was some sick prank, or the HBurg PD are a bunch of slackers, I'm hoping for the first.
The next day we tootled around the 'Burg and got lisa fitted for her bridesmaid gown and picked up some stuff from Costco. I had to get back home that night so I could work Sunday morning, so I left at about 5:30. I'm gunning up I-81 and the sky opened up like God was flushing every toilet in Heaven. So I slowed down some, but still going about 70. All of a sudden, around Tom's Brook, which is about 20 miles from Winchester, traffic slowed down really fast and then picked back up right away. I kept going and saw on the side of the road, a Minivan that was in my lane now facing me in the median ditch on it's side.
So I pulled over with about 4 other cars, and we all booked back to the van. When we got there, someone was on the phone with 911 and 4 young girls and their mom were huddled under an umbrella and the dad and one of the kids were still inside. I reached in and pulled the girl through the window, now facing the sky, and helped the dad get a bunch of blankets and stuff out to keep the girls warm. The Dad handed me a first aid kit and I bandaged up the hand of the oldest daughter. The Firefighters showed up and I sent Jenny with them. The point is, of this horible crash, ONE CUT on a hand was all the injuries. One cut! Wear your seatbelts!
That's about it.
Peace out!
