coney island
hesitantly i made plans to go out tonight. i've commited myself to not going out, as i do not have any money to spend.
then, al cancelled on me just as i had gotten all dolled up and ready to go. and, i wouldn't have cared but i had taken the time to convince myself it was okay to spend money on food and go out and eat something. also, i could have gone to coney island early or spent the whole day in my pajamas; both quite appealing (ps. is that correct use of the semi colon? that's a punctuation i'll never be able to master).
so at 8:00 i decided to head out to coney island. i took 3 rolls of film (and about 15 digital pictures, till the battery died on me). i got yelled at for taking a photo of the 'shoot sadam' game, but i got one anyway. i practiced taking pictures of strangers, which i need to practice because i always get really nervous.
i listened to regina spektor the entire night. i really adore her.
i should post the lyrics to summer in the city. i think, they sum things up quite well for me. sigh ...
i forget how to post pictures up here, but once i remember, i'm going to start posting mine a bit.
