good questions, i actually had to think about them for a while.
When I was younger and pogs and Goosebump books were extremely popular, me and my friends used to sit around in a circle and my older brother would read us those 'pick your own adventure' books. we basically had to decide whether we wanted to hop over the fence and entire the 'scary' carnival or go home for spaguetti and meatballs. we would all then play hide and seek for hours and stick pads to the back of the ice cream man's truck. aww those were good times. haha.
As for inspiration as a designer I tend to find it at the most peculiar times. Usually I wont be thinking about design at all and all of a sudden an object or a person or a color or even a scent makes the wheels in my brain turn and bam i got an idea. For example, I was watching Roman Holiday one night and was stressing out because I had to come up with a product design. As soon as I saw Audrey Hepburn eating gelato on her vespa i decided to create a label for a Gelato brand.
