Seth Godin writes books for me.

As in he writes books for people like me to read, and as in he writes books so that I don't have to. :-)

From an interview with Seth in The Art of Non-Conformity blog, talking about his latest book, Lynchpin:

What I am writing about is the ability of each of us, without authority or permission, to do work that matters, to have an impact and to create a place for ourselves in a society that's brainwashed us into doing something that's an easily replaced commodity.

A big part of that is acting like an artist. Being personal, making change, communicating a vision. I wrote this book for every single person who's frustrated with the status quo and wants to do more and better work.

When you finally decide to do work that is personally meaningful and rewarding, and communicate your inner experiences with the world through your work, in whatever medium you choose to use, the world will be a far more beautiful and healthy and productive place. Because when you do this you are indeed being given permission, but by a far higher authority than mainstream society, the authority of life itself, of evolution, of the whole planet of Earthlings.

What's your own personal vision, and what medium do you love working with the most?
