Tomorrow I go get turned into a pincushion at 8:15 am. Sucky timing, but I love the pincushion effect. Then, I head right to work for 4 hours. Then, I come home, grab my hubby and take him back to the same office for his first ever, hour-long massage. Its a surprise too. :D He could use one, I think he'll enjoy it, and it will be a nice way to start off his nice long vacation time.
I also have to pack, vacuum, change the cat litter, shower, and several other things I've forgotten, I'm sure. Packing will be the monumental event, pretty much. I made a list, so hopefully I don't forget anything. We're driving up near Hartford, CT on Saturday to get settled and for rehearsal. Then Sunday is the wedding in which I am Matron of Honor. The reception should be interesting, depending on what music is played. :P Then, we head up to MA to visit the in-laws again, and some friends (and probably go apple picking!!). We plan to hit the mall again and go to Teavana. I want some matcha tea. :) We also are making the trek up to Boston to go to Shabu Zen...cause I haven't been there in so long. The plan is to hopefully hit Boston for lunch, then continue on to Salem for the second wedding on Friday. Saturday will find us at the renfaire up there that I haven't been to in about 10 years. Its not as good as it should be, by all accounts, but hopefully its a nice bit of fun for M and I to enjoy.
I am bringing the laptop, so I should be able to finish my posts on DragonCon, and the pics should get posted. This is all resting on the idea that since I won't be working, or doing anything other than relaxing between the two weddings we're going to, I should have time to just get that bit done. Big point of fact: the flowers will be done and dusted...and I'm only attending the second wedding, so all I have to do it get dressed, wrap the gift and show up. :D
NOT enthused about leaving my cat behind, again, for another week. Mom will be here til the 14th to spend time with him like before, but I still feel bad. Mom and dad go on vacation for a bit then, and my sister will take over to keep him company. I hope he behaves. He freaks her out a little, he can be fresh.
This is our last trip til warm weather returns. Good time to save some money. :)
I've also decided that this winter will be The Winter of Completion. :D All the projects I have started but not finished will be completed. First item before winter even gets here is some repairs to
patsytheloomer's suit. I promised after the wedding that would be my main focus. I just hope my damned fingers hold out. Then it's xmas stuff. Some will be bought, but others will be made, nothing too complicated or I'll never get out of this rut.
Halloween is covered at this point, yey! After I get the projects I mentioned above finished, then maybe I can get working on a Victorian costume for the Con. Speaking of that...gotta remember to buy tickets.
Now...I must off to bed. 7am comes far too early for me.
