Stupid LJ
I couldn't post last night, and I know there was something I wanted to say, but damned if I remember now. *eyeroll*
Anyhoo, went to work for 5 hours today...got stuck driving behind slow tourists, AGAIN...so that put me in a foul mood. I had to pass four cars at once, since they were all moseying along at 5mph under the speed limit, which I cannot stand.
Not all of us are on a happy little vacation, twits.
Then I get to work and the boss's wife is upset about the way I organizes the moccasin shelves. She wants them in number order "It worked fine that way last year!". No it didn't. Last year we didn't have size 5 in slippers so we had a nice neat double stack of three....she ordered a 5 and now we have one stack of 4, one stack of 3. And the shoes no one buys are in bigger boxes than the rest on the shelves, so we're two boxes too many for them to fit in number order.
I had to rearrange the whole thing for her...and now it looks like shite. Fine. I'm not hanging around anyway.
I am still burnt out on working with people. The 16 days of work while they were gone, with one day off killed me. I have ZERO tolerance for anyone right now. My anxiety was also unusually high earlier this week. Driving to bellydance, my heart was racing for no reason. I really hate when it does that.
The other girl at work changed her days off....so I can head up to NYC on the 22nd to see a concert with my friend Beth. I'm going to head up early, so I can hit the fashion district first for my fabric. Anyone need anything while I'm there? :D
Looks like I won't make it to my Great-Aunt's Bday party. :( I really want to go..but the boss is heading out to Boston for his daughter's surgery (she has an uncurable cancer, but they're going to try surgery to extend her life, she's only 50) and even tho the wife may be staying home...I get the bulk of the hours I guess. Good and bad. More moolah...less socializing. :P
I got paid today.....paid mom part of her money, put some money on the choker on hold at work....some more money on the necklace on layaway for halloween....bought my hubby a cool, Native American made skull ring. Tomorrow, M and I head out, I'm going to buy some cheap muslin for mockups for the halloween stuff, maybe we'll see a movie, have some sushi...etc. Patsy's fabric arrived, it is VERY nice. Perfect color. I can't wait to get started on stuff.
Speaking of that, I can't decide if I want to buy a cheapie little sewing machine of my own....or just inherit one of mom's old ones and make it mine. I have the oldest one, but I think it needs repairs....and I have two antique Singers....but need needles and stuff. Imagine sewing period clothing with period machines?? :D
