There was a guy at the airport with the last name Hussein. Damn I feel sorry for him.
It bothers me that even though I'm the first one to get to the gate at the airport and I have an A boarding pass, but I have to get up and stand in line to board the plane if I want a good seat before they even let anyone off the plane, before they have even collected the barf bags. There really isn't any reason to move until the blood is pooling in your ass, and yet these old people get up and start waiting and then everyone has to get up and start waiting. While I was waiting there was this little chinese lady that went around with a spray bottle of cleaner stuff and cleaned off every surface in the gate. I think we take for granted that we dont get herpes everything time we touch something. Thank you little chinese lady. There should really be themed gates in airports. The under-the-sea gate and the wild-wild west gate. Then travel wouldn't be such a painful experience. People should jsut pay me to think of these things.
You know what bothers me is when we talk about the bsu and stuff in class and people ask why we dont have a white people's union (um, cuz the kkk is illegal?) And yes, people do bring that up. The term white is used to identify a group of people with a history as opressors and with intolerance in common. (in most contexts anyway, no I dont think that the little box for "white" in the race category on the star test is intended to separate out all the evil people). But the point is that the bsu and rlu and the philipino club or whatever is a celebration of culture or the common struggle for identity/recognition as an ethnicity. "white" doesn't have a culture. If you're white and you need to celebrate your heritage, why not start a french people's club (freedom fries!!) or balkans club and then you can eat yogurt and play pin the tail on slobedon melosevic together. Speaking of whom, whatever happened to that sick bastard? He's probably standing right behind me in an I <3 ethnic cleansing shirt.
