Top Some Number of Sexiest Men
Time for some picspam!
My Top X number of Sexiest Men (right now it's 6)
It seems like a ton of websites (and blogs) decide to do "top X sexiest women" lists. Men get a lot less play. And when someone does bother to make a list, they often don't understand the difference between sexy and popular. Not every popular actor is sexy. There isn't a single list I've seen that manages to get past this issue.
That said, I won't say my list is 100% objective as far as sexy goes, but I think at the very least this cuts across a broad set of people who are all, at a minimum, "wouldn't kick out of bed" attractive regardless of the people they've played on tv/movies or their or their characters' personalities.
1. Evandro Soldati (models.com)
Nationality: Brazil
He is apparently of Italian ancestry. I could stare at pictures of him all day. He is my favorite kind of appearance: black hair and light (typically blue, but I think his are blue-green) eyes. He is a professional model, I saw somewhere he was the 7th most successful male model and you can see why if you google image him. He looks smoking hot even on a bad hair day. But seriously, if you have sexy women lists with Adrianna Lima on them, then your sexy males list had BETTER have Evandro on it.
2. Takeshi Kaneshiro (wikipedia, imdb)
Nationality: Taiwan
He is half Japanese and half Taiwanese. He was hot as a fresh-faced youngster back in the day and he's still hot even as he has matured. This is one of his more recent photos. Most of his pictures have him clean shaven but I think this one really exemplifies his wow-ness as an actual mature adult. I have had an insatiable crush on him for ages. I was grumpy for weeks after watching House of Flying Daggers. You may recognize him as Samanosuke from the video game series Onimusha.
3. Hrithik Roshan (wikipedia, imdb)
Nationality: India
Oh, Hrithik. Where to begin with you? How about your devastating yellow-green eyes? MELT. Or maybe your ripped-ass body? I mean you have arms the size of tree trunks but you still manage to remain extremely hot and boyish all at the same time! Hrithik is a bollywood actor who brought muscle-y, ripped bodies back in fashion in India. He's that awesome. I just can't get over the yellow eyes though. MELT!
One interesting thing -- I don't think he speaks English. I googled around a couple years ago and all sources point to that fact without really coming out and saying it (you'll see interviews in English with many bollywood actors but NONE for uber-popular Hrithik). I blame this as possibly the main reason (other than perhaps a personal choice of his) that he hasn't been snagged by Hollywood yet. I mean he would be a great action star at a minimum with those huge arms and ripped body. But even that would be selling him short. I've seen just one movie of his and he COMMANDS THE FUCKING SCREEN like a boss every time he is on it. When he is on screen, no one else matters. I mean, he overshadowed Aishwarya Rai (wikipedia, chickipedia) without even trying, and that is no mean feat. He just has that sort of devastating charisma. It is really hard to describe it.
4. Cillian Murphy (wikipedia, imdb)
Nationality: Ireland
I will admit first off that Cillian Murphy is an acquired taste. My husband calls him skull-face, and he is woefully thin. He's like the opposite of Hrithik in that respect. But skinny can be hot too. Of course, Cillian's most prominent feature is his devastating blue eyes. If you do a google image search on him, even the unaltered candid photos have his stunning blue eyes popping right out of the photo. It's amazing, really. Anyway, I already mentioned my thing for black-hair-blue-eyes above, and Cillian does have quite a penchant for playing oh-so-sexy evil guys. And dressed-to-the-9s Executive types. Really, he is one of the most versatile actors I've ever seen. Furthermore, he looks good in an armani suit, he looks good in a tank top and cargo pants, and he looks good in a woman's dress. There is nothing he doesn't look good in. He just looks damn fine, and that's all there is to it.
5. Antonio Banderas (wikipedia, imdb)
Nationality: Spain
Who else could play Zorro but Antonio? He was so dashing and hot and smouldering... Is there anyone who didn't think he was hot back when he was in his prime? How hard is it to tear your eyes away from this picture? I know he's not latino, but (he plays one on tv and) to me his looks exemplify what a smoking hot latino is. RAWR. I'd jump on that like whoa.
6. James Marsden (wikipedia, imdb)
Nationality: United States of America
Ah, our first home-grown American. There are so many things I love about James Marsden it is really kind of hard to list them all. He's got my favorite, blue eyes, of course. And then, one of the things I love most about him, if you google image search on him, is that he has so many SMILING pictures! He can give you that smouldering look but he can also grin like a boss. And his smile is just so animated, so addictive, and so innocent all at once. He also tends to get cast into roles where he is so sweet and wonderful but somehow he ends up getting left out in the cold with his chosen lady, so you can add the sympathy aspect to him too if you decide to factor that in. I just love his happy-go-lucky and jovial sort of hot guy look. Of everyone on this list, James just seems like the guy who it'd be awesome just to hang out with him. He just seems fun and easy-going and boyish. YUM.

I'm amused to note that of the (current) 6 I have, there are two blue-eyeds, two green-eyeds, and two brown-eyeds. But only one blond and even that is up for debate (#6).
