Fun times...
First off, my birthday was this past Sunday. Happy birthday to me, or something. Didn't do much - hung out with my parents and did laundry most of the day, went out for a few drinks with a buddy of mine. I took Monday off of work as well, which I judiciously used for sleeping in and gaming. Not a horrible birthday, all in all.
Not a whole lot interesting going on lately... I may get to start playing D&D soon, I met some gamers in the area who have invited Geoff and I to play. It'd be an interesting dynamic - 4 players and a DM, 3 of whom are gay. We'll see how it goes... not a whole lot else. Geoff and I met Robert Jordan at a book signing in Milford - as it turns out, he's a rather thoroughly uninteresting person to chat with. By that, I mean that he was too stuck up to say more than 2 words to me. That's not an understatement. I played some laser tag with Niall a week or two ago, which was pretty damn fun... haven't been in forever. Up and coming events include a visit with Tom, heading to Maine to see Brie, Don's Halloween party, and lot's more that's exciting, I'm sure.
Guy-wise lately, not much... I've been reminded of how little I like playing games, and I opt to not play and stay single rather than deal with bullshit. It's a good philosophy. On a vaguely similar note, I may be disabling anonymous commenting in the near future - somebody, reverse DNS tells me from Syracuse University, has been leaving me flirty anonymous comments which, while flattering, are leaving the "cute" stage and entering the "annoying" stage. I don't feel like playing games. Just tell me who the hell you are...
I'll close this with the DUMBEST CALL EVER I've received yet on the job, from one of our remote sales guys whose laptop I am swapping for a newer one.
Him: Hi, I got the laptop you sent me, and I was just wondering what I should send my old laptop back in.
Me: ... I'm sorry?
Him: What should I mail this laptop back to you in?
Me: Um... a box? *facepalm*
