I got a little story of my gas station stop today. Nothing too interesting but I'll still share.
Anyways, I drove pass this gas station in my awesome fuel efficent TDI Golf on the way to dinner and I saw a line for gas at the station (Hess) but no line for diesel. So I decided to stop and get diesel since i was alittle over a quarter of a tank full and the price increased 50 cents already today.
So I pulled up to the diesel/kero section of the gas station where obiviously made for bigger vehicles (or for cars that have "TDI" or "Diesel" writen on the back. While filling up with 45 cetane diesel, this woman pulls up behind me. She finally gets out of the car and asks me if this was regular. I told her "no, it's diesel." I mean really, isn't this no wait when everyone else is waiting too good to be true? And the lack of debit swipe is a big clue... Even bigger clue is the big ass sign that says "DIESEL"
While still filling my tank, this redneck bitch cuts in line in front of this fat guy with her beat-up truck. I mean, total white trash #1. The black guy in front behind her that is already pumping starts telling her that she cut in line. She made a point to him that she doesn't give a $hit. They start exchanging many words that I can't really repeat but it was pretty bad. The black guy finally leaves and the fat guy pulls in his place to fill up. More words are exchange... Even worse. I kinda zone out at this point, watching my gal/price. .. Laughing. Finally I hear something along the lines of: (and i'm pretty far away)
make sure you use some "twang" for the redneck!
fat guy: Well, that's some college education you got there.
white trash redneck woman: you have no brains! [to the fat guy]
fat guy: I have a brains, courtesy and a college education... Probably so does that young guy [black guy] that was just here.
white trash, dirty, redneck woman: He's just a dumb young n-----!
Wow. What a bitch. More words are exchanged but i get distracted:
yuppie woman asking the dumb question for her husband: "Is that regular?"
Ugh... thinking to myself "read the fucking sign" ...... "No. Diesel."
5 seconds later:
Redneck guy with a riced out honda: "Is that regular?"
