Overdue Update

Dec 13, 2010 14:13

I know, I know, this post is long overdue. I've been busy.

Two important things, first.

1) My good phone died. T-Mobile gave me a loaner until corporate mails me a new good phone. This loaner ( Nokia E73 ) is the worst phone that pretends to be a "smart phone" that I've seen in years. I think I have is configured in a method that will make it functional for the next week. However, delays in responses are highly likely.

2) I've started using a twitter account. Yes, you may completely ridicule me. However, I don't really use it. I tweet one-liners so I can remember what I want to talk about on here. However, if you really care, my account is turbopunk_

Btw, don't expect me to follow people, or respond, etc. I have no intention of "using" twitter. I just recognize that I'm old, and can't remember shit anymore...

Ok, with that, here is the goods:

I have REALLY been loving Red Hot Kitchen. It's this new place on University, next to Kinko's, where the Tropical Smoothie Cafe was previously located. I swear, I've been there like 6 times since they opened last month.

Brandy got really sick for a couple of days. Let me tell you, that was not fun. I don't mind taking care of a sick Brandy, but doing that with a newborn takes some juggling.

Zoe is doing wonderful. She's eating "solid" foods, and occasionally blowing / spitting / sneezing it on me. She gets into everything. She crawls, she pulls herself up, she makes awesome noises, and she make un-awesome noises. Oh, yeah, and she makes poop. Ye lords, does she make poop.

Thanks to age and politics, I am now down one multi-tool. I realized my Leatherman was still in my pocket RIGHT when it was too late to back out and do something "smart" with it. I almost wish they would screen for bombs, but let everyone take whatever weapon they want on the plane. Just make 30,000 feet the wild, fucking wild west. You know, murder isn't legal up there, but protectin' is...

Fried another turkey for Thanksgiving. The reason that it is of note is that it decided to rain right after I dropped the turkey. That made the event MUCH more interesting.

I was also "forced" to make a loverly marinaded and grilled pork tenderloin. Again, a few issues, but it came out swimmingly.

I think that covers it. Nothing else seems worthy of prosperity...
