The image quality also seems rather poor - look at how crispy here hair looks in some parts but then how blurry or grainy it looks in other parts. Try to be more careful in balancing your colors and sharpness because right now it's just very inconsistent. I do love the crop.

I just keep getting distracted by the little white spot at the bottom right of the icon because it's so much lighter than everything else there and really really draws my eye. Making a new layer on soft light and brushing over that with a black brush would help to darken that up a bit so it was more in line with the rest of the icon's luminosity.

+ The contrast on her face seems a little flat to me and the texture use looks a bit random since it's barely visible and its colors don't really fit the cool tones of the image, I think making it a bigger part of the icon by adding the opacity and adjusting its colors a bit would integrate it better with the icon. I really like the crop though and the deep blues of the icon look wonderful.

The stripey/grungy texture on the left distracts from the rest of the icon and breaks up the great shadows created underneath. + I really like what you're doing with this cap, but I think the lighting right now makes for an awkward focus area. Since the eye is normally drawn to the brightest part of an icon, I keep looking back at Eleven's neck which is probably not what you had in mind. Using dark (or light) to transparent gradients instead of dark -> light can help you get the shadows without highlights, or vice-versa, if you ever want to.

++ Gorgeous text! It's very readable, very clear, yet soft and easy on the eyes. I think the text overpowers the subject of the icon just a little too much, though. My eye went straight to the text, tbh. I can't even make out the subject or determine who that's supposed to be in there over all that text and the darkish coloring.

+ I think the colors and the use of light and dark are good, but I feel as though the text would have looked better if either "your light" had been on the same line, or if only "light" had been a different color from the rest.
+ This type of text is currently en vogue and while it's a hit-or-miss with me, overall the alignment works with the crop your choose. I do think that perhaps if the placement was nudged more to the left so that it's less cluttered and not just sitting too close to her face.

+ The contrast on her face seems a little flat to me and the texture use looks a bit random since it's barely visible and its colors don't really fit the cool tones of the image, I think making it a bigger part of the icon by adding the opacity and adjusting its colors a bit would integrate it better with the icon. I really like the crop though and the deep blues of the icon look wonderful.
+ While the dark coloring sets a great mood for the icon, the crop is a little bit awkward going right through her pupil like that. The stripey/grungy texture on the left distracts from the rest of the icon and breaks up the great shadows created underneath. The grunge texture might have been better if placed beneath some of the shadow layers or some other textures to make it blend better with the rest of the icon.

+ The composition of this icon is really lovely, and it's such an interesting icon. However, I feel that's it's really brought down by the fact that her face is green.
+ The green is so very overpowering. I think using maybe a texture or gradient to give more depth to the green would have made it less monotonous.
+ I like the color scheme, but I'd suggest using a soft brush set to a low opacity to erase some of the green on her face. It also looks like part of her head was cut off.

+ I really like what you're doing with this cap, but I think the lighting right now makes for an awkward focus area. Since the eye is normally drawn to the brightest part of an icon, I keep looking back at Eleven's neck which is probably not what you had in mind. Using dark (or light) to transparent gradients instead of dark -> light can help you get the shadows without highlights, or vice-versa, if you ever want to.

+ I love this icon! The doctor looks so stylish and handsome. That aside the technique used is really wonderful IMHO. I love the lighting you have on his face, and how it's placed in such a way that it isn't obsquring his facial features. The darkness/light contrast is also really well done.
