[The coloring in this icon is just beyond stunning. It's so deep, rich, and ethereal. And the texture work just enhances the coloring beautifully (and vice versa). Really well done!]

TABLE KEY:
+++ = 1st Place Vote
++ = 2nd Place Vote
+ = 3rd Place Vote | Beginning of a new comment.

Note: Votes are not weighted in this round. Meaning a 1st, 2nd or 3rd vote will only give you 1 point when tallying the votes. [Tiebreaker Procedure:]Except in the case of a tie - then the icon with the most 1st place votes will be given first. This is upheld in all cases unless 1) the amount of votes is equal in all cases (i.e. 3 first place, 2 second place, and 1 third place) or 2) breaking the tie would result in an icon with enough first place votes to place being knocked out of a placing spot (i.e a third place tie between two icons). In these cases, ties will stand as is in order to maintain a sense of fairness for all participants.

ICON VOTES

Oikawa TooruPOSITIVE VOTES
+ The divion of the frames in to different spots, along with the subdued colors and the floral textures are very pretty
+ I really love the borders you chose, and the colors on the figure. The juxtaposition of the sports figure and the roses is very nice.

MOST CREATIVE
None.

CONSTRUCTIVE VOTES
+ I think the composition and the colouring are quite nice, but I feel the icon is missing a focal point. There's a lot going on, with the two frames & subjects and the tiny text in random positions. I think if there was any difference between the frames, or the light/dark contrast was a bit stronger, it'll help on making something stand out.

ADDITIONAL VOTES
+ I really like the repeated frame and use of tiny text here, but I think this icon would look better with a different color as background in the frames - a brighter color, like yellow or blue like in the original image, could make the icon pop, while the dull brown makes it look slightly undercontrasted.

Gingerbread VixenPOSITIVE VOTES
None.

MOST CREATIVE
None.

CONSTRUCTIVE VOTES
+ The crop works really well here - but the tri-colored texture on the right is distracting. I think brightening the subject a bit and adding more contrast would balance
+ I like the idea of polaroid frame but the lines on the right side of the icon is too much and text looks just likr the other lins but horizontal. My opinion is that if the maker would make the solid bg on Agent Carter's image and make the freame the matching or complementary color withoiut these lines and text a little bigger (+1-2pt) this icon would look amazing for me.
+ The frame is interesting but a bit too muted, making it blend too much with the muted colouring of the image. The tiny text also feels a bit too blocky and not visible enough, maybe use a smaller chunk and don't blur so much.
+ I really like your take on the 'frame' theme, very creative! However, the image is blurry in some places, and slightly too sharp in others - probably due to the size of the original screecap, if that's indeed the image you used. I suggest working with full-sized screencaps in the future, it's much easier to get better results from high quality sources.
+ While the crop is nice, the coloring is a little harsh and washout out; the midtones need to be enhanced a little to balence out the difference between the lights and the shadows
+ Although I like the compositon, I would suggest that you color Peggy so that the colors pop out more (maybe a vibrance layer?) and make sure that your texture matches the coloring of the cap! Right now, they look separate and if the texture matches the cap, it will mesh everything together.
+ I wish you had replaced more of the background around the figure. The red border is nice with her hat, but the greenish background of the cap clashes badly. The figure also overlaps the border at the bottom, and I think it would've been better if you had masked her out so that she didn't overlap.
+ I think the idea of using photo frames is lovely, and the colouring on the subject in combination with the vertical lines is nice. However, I think the fact that the lines and text go over the frame contradicts the idea, and makes it a bit out of place. Placing the image and the colour lines inside the frame would have made it more cohesive. I think extracting the background, and may be using the other predominant colour on Peggy (blue) as background instead of the already existing green, would also made it stand out more.

Agent Olivia DunhamPOSITIVE VOTES
+++ Impressive work of coloring and texture here. I love everything that was done on this one.

MOST CREATIVE
+ No reason provided.
+ Your coloring is very pretty and I like how subtle your unreadable text is.

CONSTRUCTIVE VOTES
+ The arms are washed out because of the texture usage, maybe color it so the arms can be more visible.
+ The frame and colouring are really pretty but the tiny text is a little too invisible placed on Michonne, maybe placement on her side or above her would have been better.

ADDITIONAL VOTES
+ nice, saturated purple colors and composition, though the top of the icon seems a little dark
+ I love the rich colors in this icon, and the texture work is great - the painty effect is executed perfectly. I'm not sure about the frame though; I think it's a bit too ornate for this icon, and the decorations on the top look awkward where they overlap the brightest parts of the painty texture.

Captain BluePOSITIVE VOTES
+ The composition of this icon is very creative, and I really like how you dealt with half of one of the subjects being obscured in the original screencap, though I think it might look better if the middle and left columns were switched, to show the characters interacting.
+ I really like how you extracted the originally blurry and background character and made him very eyecatching in your icon. I also like the compositon. The only thing I'd suggest is to maybe brighten up the background just a little so that it matches the brightness of the focus character.

MOST CREATIVE
+ No reason provided.
+ No reason provided.
+ Love the multiple frame texture.
+ The composition here is just so creative. The whole composition -the frames chosen or the text- is beautiful.

CONSTRUCTIVE VOTES
+ The left side of the icon is washed out and the person is hard to see, so maybe making the person more visible.
+ Composition wise this icon is great. However the subject just seems to blend in with the background texture and that makes the icon really flat. Imo it would be much better if the left and right side of the icon (along with the person and the hand) stayed as they are, but the middle section, the subject to stand out. You can do that by adding more colour to him, and playing around with some curves layer, and perhaps a b&w set to soft light.
+ I really like the composition of the icon. I also like how the subject in the middle stands out clearly against the background. However, I also wish the subject at the left side of the icon was clearer. He looks murky and also the lower half of his body seems to be sliced off. I think erasing the texture off of him completely and putting in a full cut-out of him would make the icon look more cohesive.
+ The coloring is a bit too washed out, making the icon look a little too LQ.
+ Though the composition is pretty cool, it's so bright and sharp that before I looked at the screencap I was sure it was cartoon character. Just toning down the brightness and be careful with sharpness is really all that's needed.

ADDITIONAL VOTES
+ the composition of this icon is really cool! The multiple use of borders, images, and tiny text makes it feel like a scrapbook

Catpaws CoolioPOSITIVE VOTES
+++ Pretty composition and overall theme of the icon, love the cropping, borders and usage of unreadable text.
+++ All the different colors of blue is nice and he fits great within the frame.

MOST CREATIVE
None.

CONSTRUCTIVE VOTES
None.

ADDITIONAL VOTES
+ Nice composition and monotone colouring
+ The use of textures is spot on here, the simple frame and subtle painty texture in the background work well together, and the placement of the text fills the empty space nicely. The image has a slightly unnatural look that could be a result of too strong Topaz use, which is especially visible around the edges, where the filter created an edge that's slightly brighter than the background. I'd suggest using Topaz (or any other filter that was used here) on a duplicated layer, since then it can be set to lower opacity, or erased in problematic areas.
+ I love the frame and the intense blue here, but it looks like the colors got away from you on the figure, because his hair looks red on my monitor.

Raymond 'Red' ReddingtonPOSITIVE VOTES
+++ Excellent use of the require elements - really pops from the other entries. Love the yellow/green/white palette yo have here, the crop, frame, and text really make the composition unique.
+++ Your coloring is gorgeous and the icon has that great balance between too much blurriness and too much sharpness.
+++ Beautiful colouring, really nice and bright. The font colour is complimentary and really fits the icon. Great Work!
++ Interesting use of colors, everythings goes well together.
++ The colors are rich and nice; the textwork is beautiful, too
++ The text here is so gorgeous, and the greens are really well done.
++ Great vivid coloring and nice use of text and texture.
+ The bright neon green colouring is gorgeous!
+ The green coloring is really eye-catching and pretty.
+ The cgreen coloring is amazing. I also like the different size of text. And the frame on bg makes the composition and icon look complite.

MOST CREATIVE
None.

CONSTRUCTIVE VOTES
None.

ADDITIONAL VOTES
+ I am able to read your unreadable text.
+ I love the vibrant coloring in this icon! The greens are lovely, and the yellows make it pop. The typography is good too, but I think the first three lines would look better if the font size was smaller - right now it's on the edge of legibility, and looks a bit as if you couldn't decide whether to make it big enough to be a part of the quote, or small enough to work as decorative tiny text.

Chocolate ThiefPOSITIVE VOTES
+ This subject's colouring is really simplistic and elegant, I love it. It goes really well with the pastel background.

MOST CREATIVE
None.

CONSTRUCTIVE VOTES
+ I'm no sure about the color of the background. A use of light texture on it would have give it more deph and would be less distracting.

ADDITIONAL VOTES
+ The pale pretty colouring is beautiful!
+ nice cut out effect on the image with the border, and good colors overall
+ I would suggest centering the girl so that the icon is more symmetrical.
+ Really nice colouring and the tiny text placement is great, its also nice and sharp.
+ I like the coloring and composition here. I think this icon has a perfect amount of negative space, and the pale pink works great as a background color. The image could be a bit sharper though, especially around her eyes. Also, I think the tiny text is too pale - it matches the background, but it doesn't stand out enough.

Pink PantherPOSITIVE VOTES
+++ The composition is really simple and beautiful. I like how striking the reds on her lips and hair are over the dark coloring.
++ I love the way the off-center crop is balanced by the text. The larger font on 'queen' also gives context for the smaller words I can't read.

MOST CREATIVE
+ I like the way the subject is looking out of the frame. It reminds me of a painting. Also, the colouring is gorgeous!

CONSTRUCTIVE VOTES
None.

ADDITIONAL VOTES
+ I am able to read your unreadable text.
+ love the text effect, and how all the colors go well together
+ The natural coloring with a spot of bright red looks great, and the contrast in this icon is spot on. However, the solid color of the text looks a bit too flat - a gradient or texture could help make it more interesting. Similarly, the solid black of the background makes the frame look as if it was hanging in a void, so I'd suggest using a texture to imitate a wall behind the frame.

The Deadly PancakePOSITIVE VOTES
+++ I love everything in this icon! The way you re-colored the screencap, added deeper shading and highlights on her hair is amazing, it all looks so natural that I was shocked when I checked the original screencap. The composition is also great, and it complements the image. Overall, fantastic job.
++ The coloring and contrast is stunning.
++ Love the coloring and the lighting is stunning. Also the frame looks like Emma's halo. And dark red text makes icon look even better
++ Your lighting and colouring work is really gorgeous in the icon. Especially love how (I don't know if it was intentional or not) one side of Emma is brighter, while the other one is darker. Not just Emma, but in the background as well. It's almost like good vs evil and I think it's really awesome!

MOST CREATIVE
+ Really beautiful texture use and composition. The frame is interesting and I love the cut out of Emma. The tiny text font really fits the icon, I just wish it was a bit more visible.

CONSTRUCTIVE VOTES
+ While the coloring is absolutely beautiful, the text on only one side causes the icon to seem unbalence and weighted on one side, which is slightly destracting to the other elements in the icon

ADDITIONAL VOTES
+ Really lovely composition.
+ I love the deep red of the background, but the figure's face is too pink. I think you could have masked some of the color from her face, so that she would look more natural.

Gourmet TrashPOSITIVE VOTES
++ Love how she pops out of the frame.
+ The soft peach coloring is lovely.
+ The frame usage is very creative and interesting. The colouring is very lovely and appealing, and the text gives great balance to the decoration on top of the frame.

MOST CREATIVE
+ No reason provided.
+ I love how his cape falls out of the frame; the textures and the lighting is really nice too

CONSTRUCTIVE VOTES
None.

ADDITIONAL VOTES
+ Love the soft colouring and I really like the frame texture that has been used. A frame with a nice bow seems really appropriate for Sophie.
+ I think you chose a great screencap for an icon with the subjects jumping out of the frame, and the simple frame doesn't distract from it. I wish the background inside the frame was closer to the original blue - Howl's head is a bit hard to see against the beige, and there are traces of the blue background left on the image that make the extraction look slightly sloppy, despite the fact that it's actually really clean and well done.

SarkPOSITIVE VOTES
None.

MOST CREATIVE
None.

CONSTRUCTIVE VOTES
+ The composition is good although the text placement would've worked better on a center position and the icon overall looks a bit blurry on my monitor.
+ I like the idea of composition, but the frame is overtopazed and text is oversharpened. I think the bg color is too dark for me and and the main image is too light and all of these things make the disbalance in the icons. If you make the bg the color of Clara's dress and icon a little more blury it would look much better.
+ The sharpness of this icon is the biggest issue here - if you add some light blobs around the subject, as well as the inside borders of the texture, it would help tone it down. The blue background which you've left along with the subject Imo doesn't really mesh with the purple of the icon. As in, there's too many types of blue. If you extracted the subject, or perhaps selected a tone of blue and masked out everything else, the icon would look cleaner and the subject would pop out more.

ADDITIONAL VOTES
+ nice frame texture and typography
+ I like the ornate frame you used here, it makes the icon interesting despite the simple composition. However, the image is overexposed, especially Clara's face - her features are barely visible. Lowering the opacity of the adjustment layers that were used here or masking the area around her face could help here.

Tasmanian DevilPOSITIVE VOTES
++ The soft coloring really works here - love the colors you've chosen. Frame is also interesting and really adds to the composition. Love the placement of text
+ Love the colouring and the choice of frame is really gorgeous. The text fits the icon and is nice and visible. Maybe use a little less blur on Malia, so there is a bit more contrast with the background.

MOST CREATIVE
None.

CONSTRUCTIVE VOTES
+ I dig the composition of this icon and the texture use. Also, I really like the warm orange colouring. However, I wish the subject did not look so flat against the background. A Levels layer would help here I think. Increasing the shadows on the subject would make her look more dimensional and also stand out better.
+ The coloring is lovely, but the subject is slightly blurry. Just a little sharpening should do the trick.
+ I think this is a truely interesting icon. I would just liked it little less blurry, it would make the icon perfect.

ADDITIONAL VOTES
+ The coloring here is really nice, vibrant, but not to the point of unnaturalness. I like the big frame too, There's a big difference in sharpness between the image and the frame though - compared to the crisp lines of the frame, the image looks very blurry, especially her hair. It's a shame, I probably would have voted for this icon if it was sharper.
+ Nice frame and cutting, along with splendid typography, but the subject is a little washed out by the light
+ Beautiful and rich orange colouring, and with a great use of lighting.
+ This is such a lovely icon, the colouring is gorgeous and the composition is interesting. But sadly, in my screen, it looks very blurry.

ADDITIONAL VOTES
+ The use of tiny text all over the icon is a bit overwhelming. Using black and white for the main image with the rest being bright yellow, doesn't really mesh well, maybe try playing around with muted colouring or desaturation instead of full b&W.
+ The yellows in this icon are fantastic, and I love how you used the tiny text to decorate the background. I think the background of the image in the frame could be a bit darker though - the medium grays look dull next to the bright yellows.
+ I really like the yellows on this icon and the tinytext works really good with it. But the black and white colouring looks a bit washed out (specially with how vibrant the rest of the icon is). and the yellow things on top of her (which I'm not sure if they are a texture of part of the original cap) are distracting. Maybe a black and white gradient on soft light on the subject would give it some depthness.

Sin City BluePOSITIVE VOTES
+++ Such gorgeous colors! Such an unusual frame! This is so lovely.
++ Love the way the subject is cropped looking down, the borders and usage of undreadable text.
++ This was such a unique use of the frame texture! And I also love the wall of text behind the subject. It reminds me of a newspaper article.

MOST CREATIVE

CONSTRUCTIVE VOTES

ADDITIONAL VOTES
+ Interesting idea with tilting the border; the coloring is pretty too
+ Rotating the frame was an interesting idea, it definitely makes this icon stand out. However, the frame looks rather pixelly in some places, as if it was sharpened after rotating. If that is indeed what happened here, I'd suggest duplicating the frame instead of sharpening, the result will be similar, but without the jagged edges.

Creepy CrawlyPOSITIVE VOTES
+++ I am absolutely in love with this icon! The composition is so gorgeous and the colouring is stunning. Dark, and especially black icons are really hard, because they tend to look a little flat, but yours is marvelous. Great work!

MOST CREATIVE
+ No reason provided.
+ The composition of this icon is absolutely outstanding. Love how in one of the caps, *good* Regina is looking down, while in the other *evil* Queen is looking up.

CONSTRUCTIVE VOTES
None.

ADDITIONAL VOTES
+ I love how you've included both the Evil Queen and Regina in your icon!
+ Interesting compotision, especially how the two images are her "real life" and her "alternate"
+ I love the use of frames here to contrast what looks like two different sides of the character. Also, love the subtle grunge texture use!

Bionic RhymenocerousPOSITIVE VOTES
+ Love the fake background and abstract texture used in the background, the borders and stunning and love the cropping of the subject.

MOST CREATIVE
+ No reason provided.

+ No reason provided.

CONSTRUCTIVE VOTES
+ I like the concept of the icon but I would suggest that you make the background blend in more with the cap. Right now, the character and the background look a bit separated.
+ The composition of this icon is nice, and I like the use of frame here. The icon lacks unity though - the image and the background are colored very differently, which looks a bit awkward. Also, the character's face has a slight plasticky look, which could be a result of excessive use of Topaz filter. If this is the case, I suggest changing the settings to make it less pronounced, or using the filter on a duplicated layer, and then lowering its opacity until the effect is not as obvious.
+ I love the composition here, but the coloring of Rose falls a little flat. I think brightening her up and adding some contrast will make her stand out form the background more.
+ I think the more muted pink/purple coloring of Rose against a brighter blue (the blue directly behind Rose) background makes it feel like she doesn't really fit in well overall. Perhaps if the background were more muted of Rose a little more colorful then it would have worked better.
+ Overall the composition is great however the background seems really busy with all the textures, I would take the geometric shapes underneath the wolf and replace it with the tiny text instead. The muted coloring is lovely but her face seems a bit over topazed.

ADDITIONAL VOTES
+ Nice coloring and texture use

Carmen SandiegoPOSITIVE VOTES
+++ the composition is very pretty and the coloring is very lovely
+++ Beautiful coloring. The composition works very well with the frame textures, tiny text and decorative element.
+++ What fabulous vintage colouring! The colouring combined with the frame and pastel background makes the icon look very delicate and pretty.
+++ The colouring, the centre crop and the composition with the frame just fits all perefectly. It's such a lovely icon, everything so balanced and soft.
+++ Like the pale and one color coloring. And the frame with text suits the icon so good.
++ I love how simple the icon looks and I love the pale coloring - it looks so nice!
++ The pastel coloring in this icon is stunning, and I love the simple composition and use of tiny text. A solid background works well here, as does the slightly flat coloring.
++ The muted colouring works so well with the background and the frame and tiny text work so well together.
+ Love the pale muted coloring and nice use of texture, it fits well.
+ Nice coloring done on the character. Going perfectly with the color chosen for the background.

+ Love the hue of orange - really enhances the flame ball Regina has! Text is well placed. Great job!

MOST CREATIVE
None.

CONSTRUCTIVE VOTES
+ The flame in her hand just doesn't show up well enough with the orange background. I love the vibrancy of the colors, but it drowns out what's supposed to be the focal point.

ADDITIONAL VOTES
+ Pretty orange colors and pretty typography and textures, as well
+ I love the colouring and the frame you used, the tiny text is great but the larger text seems out of place and takes over a bit too much.
+ I love the coloring and typography here, they really fit the fiery screencap. I think this icon could be even better if the background of the frame and the background outside the frame weren't nearly the same color though - all the orange tones are lovely, but they could use another color to set them off. Also, there's a thin dark border around the icon, which looks like a result of making the icon at a size bigger than 100x100, and then resizing. When this happens to me, I use a small hard smudge tool on the edges of each texture, which usually takes care of the unwanted border.

The final results will be up in a jiffy so stand by!
