[I love the matte coloring here; it is almost film noir, and that adds a great deal of mystery to the icon, I think. The red blood stands out really well, and it becomes such an eye catching aspect of the icon. Great job!]

++ A+ cropping here. I love the possibly rotated image, and the way you've almost mirrored the lighting in the top right corner with some subtle lighting in the lower left hand corner, and the colouring itself is lovely and light, but with just enough contrast.
++ I like the overall composition of this icon. The blue at the bottom gives some negative space that draws attention to the subject of the icon in a nice way.

+ The coloring in this icon is fantastic, I really dig the combination of vibrant green against a muted background. There's just the perfect amount of sharpness and contrast too. My only concrit would be about the composition - it has great potential, but looks a bit unbalanced as it is. I think moving the larger image to the left would restore the balance between left and right, and I'd probably also continue the column of smaller blocks right to the bottom of the icon.
+ I like the main idea of the icon, but the smaller images feel too detached from the main one. Maybe adding some more textures would connect the two? The coloring is spot on though!
+ I love how the vibrant greens of Hulk contrast with the pale background, but his head in the repeated images looks distorted. I think the icon would be much better without them.

I really enjoy the way the figure is centered and appears to be coming out of the darkness - the shadow work and lighting has been used wonderfully to create that feel. The hint of dull red on the throat just makes the image for me though, it draws everything together wonderfully.

+ This icon is really dark. I think the person has his head tilted back but it's so dark that I can't tell for sure. If the background were a shade or so lighter or if a gradient were used to make the bottom of the background darker and the top of the background lighter, what's happening in the cap could be seen more clearly.
+ This icon is quite dark on my screen, and it's a bit hard to make out the subject. Making his jacket (or even some highlights/outlines of it) brighter would improve it, I think - I'd recommend using a Black&white adjustment layer to turn images black and white, so that you can play with the luminosity of each color channel. Then again this icon has some amazing elements too, I really love the red blood details against the black and white, and the mood and look of the icon are a perfect interpretation of the theme!
+ I quite like this icon, as in the shadows are lovely! But I kind of wish the subject's face were a little brighter so I could distinguish it. I also think the addition of a b&w gradient layer would have made this perfect.

++ I love everything about this icon, but especially the text work, it's very fun and creative. I love the big bold font, the all-justified alignment, and especially the effect of the text first being on the background but the last row on the foreground. Nice job making the text+background fit the colors of the image too!

I love how dark this icon is without being unclear at all; the lighting reveals just enough of the subject while leaving the perfect amount of shadows too to create a lovely mysterious atmosphere. Great sharpening too, and the deep brown monochrome looks very flattering!

+ The lighting and color are great. However, his face is quite pixelated. I think using the blur tool to go over his skin would make this icon much better.
+ The lighting in this icon is fantastic, and the contrast is great as well. It's such a minor thing, but on my monitor the characters face seems quite sharp, and the result is that the icon is lessened in quality. Smoothing the lines of the forehead (which is where it's especially prominent) with a blur or smudge brush on a low opacity may help with this.
+ The idea and crop are great but I find that the icon is oversharpened /with too mush contrast. You'd maybe try to fade that effect or take a soft layer or two out etc.

+ While the right side of the icon seems fine, for me the left side of the icon looks a little murky. The black haphaazardly cuts off his hair, ear and shoulders. I think the icon could have benefited from a black and white gradient which when set from the left to the right on soft light, would have given you the darkness you wanted I think you wanted to achieve and also added some depth to the icon as well.
+ I think the icon needs more color and contrast. Right now the subject looks too dull with too many shadows. Perhaps the maker was going for muted coloring, but it's not quite there. I think the icon at least needs more contrast.
+ While I think the shadows in this icon have been done well, there is a slightly under-shadowed feel to the left side, and it looks slightly awkward where the character fades off into the blackness. Perhaps extending the black shadowing with a gradient layer to meet the edge of his hair line, or giving the icon a touch more contrast to really bring some highlights into the lighting would help to create a stronger overall focus in the icon.
