Day after Christmas

The craziness of the holidays is basically over, at least for me, thank goodness. All in all, yesterday was a pretty good day. For the most part there was relative peace all day long. Alicia, as per her norm, was cranky/bitchy, but not nearly as bad as she could have been. After dinner, my mom, grandma, Andrea and I went to the movies. We saw "The Phantom of the Opera." It was long, but very good. Everyone enjoyed it. I started to fall asleep near the end, but that was only because it was way past my bedtime. The movie ended around midnight. Thankfully, Ange drove because I would have had a hard time if I was behind the wheel.

I was able to sleep in this morning despite Itty's comings and goings and Harlan getting on and off the bed multiple times. I never notice that at my place because I have a queen bed, but here we are sharing a twin.  I did sleep funny because my neck hurts.  Booo!  Oh well.

I took Harlan to Mendon Ponds for a run today.  We did the 5k loop and we ran almost the entire time.  I know 5k is not much, but for us (errr, me) it is right now.
And it is a very hilly course.  It felt good to be running on trails.  I definitely miss having parks (and hills) like these out in East Lansing.

Alicia's boyfriend is going to be here tonight and will be staying for at least one night.  This should be interesting....I have no idea what Harlan is going to do and what I am going to do with him.  I would hate having to lock him up in my bedroom the entire time, but....
