I died in my dream again
It's been a while since that happened last.
I had rejoined the military (no idea why), but I wasn't too dedicated to it. They were running some sort of tests on me, live-fire exercises where I had to go explore this old concrete building they had set up. I went through it a couple times and then just sort of left. Eventually the army contacted me about having gone AWOL. I had actually just forgotten about being in the army, so I noncommitally showed up at the place they designated for my hearing, expecting I'd be punished and then replaced where I was. What an annoyance, I thought, but I may as well finish out my enlistment.
So then I got sniped. It happened so fast that I didn't even realize I was dead at first. I guess I left a spirit behind, because I got to watch them come out and take my body and talk amongst themselves about it. It was definitely deliberate. They killed me because I had gone AWOL. So then I just sorta... stayed there. The afterlife was awfully boring. Stuck in the same spot, unable to really do or affect anything. I might have eventually tried interacting with my surroundings, but I woke up before the thought occurred to me to do so.
So, yeah. No idea what that shit meant. I am definitely not rejoining the military in any way (and not just because of the dream).
Still, this was one of the least uncomfortable dream deaths I'd ever had, I will give it that much. It was, literally, over before I knew it had happened.
