Just saw that the world's biggest afro is 4 feet 4 inches from end to end. Before I wash my hair next I'm going to fluff it out to see how big mine gets. Teaching went well today. Unlike last semester, I've already got everyone's names down! It helps that they all showed up, that none of them have similar names (well, ok, I have two Alexes, but one hasn't come b/c she broke her leg and had surgery and a follow-up appointment this week and last), and that I'm conducting class in a different way this ( Read more... )

My "keeping things in perspective thought" for today: I had a good day today, but even if I hadn't, at least I didn't get hit by a van like this other girl who was crossing the street 60 feet in front of me.
