It's been quite a nice day, for all that I woke up with an inexplicable rash all over my face. I used foundation to cover it up, but that didn't work, so I washed it off and went for powder instead, and that seemed to function. Thanks heavens.
The library reopened (YAY!!!), and it's huge and confusing but I think it'll be good once I figure out where they've moved everything to (and once it calms down so the poor librarians aren't as overwhelmed). Here's what I checked out:
1. Shades of Grey-- Jasper Fforde
2. Beyond Molasses Creek-- Nicole Seitz
3. Tamsin-- Peter S. Beagle
4. Salt and Saffron-- Kamila Shamsie
5. The Ground Beneath Her Feet-- Rushdie
6. The Cairo House-- Serageldin
7. Pure-- Baggott
I went in intending to get #5 and several others, but the others weren't there, 7 was shared the title of a book I wanted but turned out to be different, and I ran across the others while browsing the S shelves, mostly. I'm excited!
