The Db's were always a favorite of mine. Their CD "Like this" was a real eye opener for me in terms of consice, "cut the fat" song writing.
The link I'm posting here is from their website and it's an audition tape from a guitarist who went to great lenghts to secure a 2nd audition with the band (he didn't get it). It starts off with him and I guess his wife/girlfriend acting in some skit (with sounds of broken light bulbs as she yells at him) followed by his take on a Db song. I guess he put the song "Amplifier " on a four track and over dub a guitar part/solo that's not that far removed from how Carlos Santana might have approached the song; filling every space with a guitar riff and generally steamrolling over the song. His guitar tone, which resembles a cat in heat doesn't help matters. All in all it's pretty bad. But enough of my take on it.
