1.What did you do in 2009 that you'd never done before?
I visited a foreign country for the first time in my life, I worked a company job (if only for a few weeks), I went clubbing, and I tried many strange Japanese foods.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I only managed to keep one of them. For 2010, I’ve made quite a few:
- Draw more.
- Become a better, more time-efficient writer.
- Reach goal weight of 115-120.
- Be a better friend.
- Work on my sense of humor.
- Work on my singing voice DEAR GOD work on my singing voice don’t wanna kill people in karaoke
- Make no enemies and keep no enemies.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No, but a close relative of mine had a miscarriage.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
My 13-year old dog, Buddy.
5. What countries did you visit?
Japan.
6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?
Money, Luck, and Willpower
7. What date from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
I don’t really have a specific date in mind. 2009 had plenty of ups and downs.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
My biggest achievement huh..? Probably completing everything I needed to in order to study abroad.
9. What was your biggest failure?
That’s pretty tough… I’d say either not budgeting correctly, or stirring up some ridiculous chain of internet drama.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Yes, Yes I did. I got swine flu, broke out in chronic eczema all over my body, suffered heat rashes, infected scalp psoriasis, and my eye swelled up like a grape fruit which may have damaged my vision.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Oyaji Moe Pie.
12. Where did most of your money go?
In order: Tokyo, Food, Crane Machines, Laundry
13. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Going to a comic convention in Japan to meet all of my favorite Pixiv artists. By the time I got there I was so nervous that I couldn’t speak, it was really embarrassing.. but I had a radical time!!
14. What song will always remind you of 2009?
Sakuranbo by Otsuka Ai. During my 2009 Semester in Japan my suitemates sung this song constantly! I did not go to karaoke once without this being played.
15. Compared to this time last year, are you happier or sadder?
I think overall I’m happier.
16. What do you wish you'd done more of?
I wish that I had worked more hours over the summer.
17. What do you wish you'd done less of?
I wish I had eaten less junk food, and spent less money playing in Arcades.
18. How did you spend Christmas?
I flew back to the USA for the routine family social. My entire extended family lives in North Carolina, so my Christmas is literally a week’s worth of visiting cousins and second cousins and second aunt twice-removed.
19. Did you fall in love in 2009?
Yeah, with food I shouldn’t be eating.
20. How many one-night stands?
There was that one night I tango’d with a pretty handsome chocolate cake.
21. What was your favorite TV program?
I didn’t really have a favorite TV program of 2009. I don’t really watch a whole lot of TV.
22. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Not really…
23. What was the best book you read?
Genki II was a damn good read, let me tell you.

Too many to list.

There were a lot of good films this year, but I’m gonna have to go with UP. Inglorious Basterds and Star Trek are fighting for second.
28. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
21, I celebrated it in Hirakata City with my Suitemates. We bought a big chocolate cake that melted on the way back to the dormitory, ha ha ha.
29. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
My old high school gang not growing so distant would have been nice.
30. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2009?
What the fuck is a personal fashion concept?

My awesome friends. :)

Public Health Care and Left-wing spending

I missed
kobacake for the majority of the year, because we don't really talk as much as we used to.
35. Who was the best new person you met?
fightfair and
loadsavepoint have both been amazing friends. I can't believe it we've known each other for such a short time. I’d probably have to mention criminal justice professor as well, for teaching me some life-changing ideals.

Don’t sweat the small stuff.

38. Where did you begin 2009?
A 2009 Party at my house, with my old High School gang that I haven’t been seeing too much of lately, and will probably never be patched up back together quite like it was.

I was single like I am now, but that doesn’t stop my from loving Valentine’s day kiss my ass haters.
40. Were you in school anytime this year?
Yes.
41. How did you earn your money?
Working a temporary job as well as food stipends for school and scholarships.
42. Did you have to go to the hospital?
Yes.
43. Did you have any encounters with the police?
Plenty while I was in Japan. They’re very nice, helpful people. Can’t say I’m a fan of the police here in North Carolina, though.
44. Would you relive 2009 over and over again?
Ha ha ha, hell no.
45. What did you purchase that was over $1000?
A plane ticket to Japan.
46. Did you know anybody who got married?

I migrate back and forth between school dormitory’s and my parent’s house.

Travelled abroad
50. What has been your favorite moment?
I really enjoyed staying at Pam’s lake house with
kobacake and her co-worker. I loved riding on the sailboat.. and being overfed with delicious food every night.. and playing some hilarious game with funny words and definitions.. and making makeshift S’mores with giant long-ass lighters.. and the scary hula pinecone witch ;3;

I learned that I am retarded

54. Would you say you've changed since the beginning of this year?
I thought I had changed for the better, but people have recently told me I’ve gotten worse about certain habits.
55. Do you think 2010 will be better or worse?
I’ve got high hopes for 2010! I think it’s going to be a awesome year. :)
