I haven't checked lj at ALL this year since I started at Emory. It's been a while since I've talked to any of you (except for chris... cuz he, um, goes to Emory), so I thought I'd give yall a heads up. I'm taking three full classes this semester, so it's not too bad, it's one credit hour short of a full load, so I'm relatively laid back this semester workwise, even though with band, two three hour labs, Latin TA office hours, and greek 101 (which meets 4 times a week), I pretty much am in class ALL the time.

And then there's frisbee, we went to a tournament two weekends ago, and played in Columbus. It was a good weekend, we went 3-3, which is pretty good considering the tournament was club teams, which in frisbee lingo, is basically teams of anyone (usually all really really good people) from any school you want. so they're the best competition in Atlanta, basically.
This Monday at practice I landed on my ankle funny, and heard a pop as it rolled all the way to the outside. I tore my anterior taliofibular ligament (ATL! woot!)... but it's actually only a minor sprain, the doctor said I should be able to run in a week, though cutting and stuff won't be a hundred percent. It'll take 4-6 weeks to heal, and I have to wear an ankle brace (and sneakers... boo) for the whole time. It sucks to come to practice and watch everyone else playing while you have to sit on the sidelines and watch.

Last weekend, there was a retreat at Callaway Gardens paid for completely by Emory Scholars. It was a lot of fun, we got a full buffet (seafood friday night, pasta saturday), and lots of amenities (anything you can ask for from the hotel). It was a chill retreat, mostly a chance to meet other Emory scholars and stuff. We ended up biking, stargazing a lot (it's nice at Callaway), sleeping, and eating our hearts out.

That's enough for one day. My first round of tests is almost over, but they came spread apart. Life is good!
