MY BERFDAY
I am expressing myself through a LiveJournal entry, all the more because I have Crest Whitestrips in and I can't speak; moreover there are great reservoirs of warm saliva gathering in my palate:
THANK YOU FOR THE BIRTHDAY WISHES!!!! I dinna check email or LiveJournal til just now, 1:25am on a Friday night! The "official" celebration is tomorrow night; my brother, sister, father and I are all grilling chicken kebabs in the country. And then red velvet cake! Mmmmm!
But on my actual birthday, I just hung out with my Dad, real low-key and sweet. We had brunch at the local general store (might be a mandatory stop on our trip), looked in thrift shops for neat things, shopped for apartment necessities. At night I started watching Battlestar Galactica and was totally hooked. Yes, truly, it was a geeky birthday.
