How To Make Your Humans Bring You Out

Jul 01, 2007 12:57

Saturdays and Sundays are usually Chester-days (self-declared, of course) and i get to go out for some serious fun. However, yesterday late afternoon, i found the humans still sleeping when i surveyed their room to find out why they haven't brought me out yet!!!

Hey HELLO? Can we all get moving?! It's nearly evening!

The humans were oblivious to me even though i paced around the room, obviously restless and dying to get out for a good run.

I decided to jump on S's tummy to make my 16.5-kg presence felt.

HELLO!!! See my face?! The face of a dog who needs to go out....like NOW?!

S didn't even flinch or acknowledge me even though i was trying my best to crush her upper body and wake her up from her beastly beauty sleep!!!! At times like these, i wish i was a 100kg St. Bernard who weighs alot and well, slobbers alot too....hee hee!

I'm not giving up as yet! Nyeh nyeh nyeh!

Being the Border Collie i am that never says die, i decided that bugging D may the way to go. I thought lurking behind him and pressurising him with my hot breath was a good idea.

As i was doing this, i was also humming my favourite Police tune.

Every move you make, every vow you break...every smile you fake, every claim you stake...I'll be watching you.....dum dee dum dee dum...

To my dismay, it didn't work too!!!!! By this time, i was so fed up i decided that  maybe sometimes,  force is better than persuasion. I decided to teach D a lesson for ignoring me and failing his human obligations towards me! GRRRRRRAAAAAA!

<

NEVER, EVER underestimate the power of my DOGGY SLEEPER HOLD!!! (Sorry D, blame yourself for introducing me to the world of wrestling...tee hee hee!)

D begged me to spare him (from my slobber rather than my Sleeper Hold actually....) and negotiated for another 5 minutes of snooze-time before we got out.

Of course, i was more than happy to agree! You know, a good dog only uses force when necessary but will take a step back when the enemy agrees to his terms! Muahahahah!

Here's me making peace with D - i hope he understands that Chester-days ARE important days and should not be taken lightly!!!

In the end, the humans finally brought me out and i had hours and hours of fun at the training grounds doing my stuff and playing frisbee of course!

The moral of this story is - always be persistent when you want something! Bug, pester and annoy your humans and DON'T STOP till you get what you want! Well, it does help that i've got a cute face that humans find irresistable but whatever it is, remember: ask whine, slobber, bark, lick, act like a totally crazed dog and you shall be given!

d&s, chester, weekend
