Humongous crab claw

Had dinner with the in-law’s at Ban Leong Wah Hoe Seafood Restaurant, located at Casuarina Rd. A super popular place, in order to ensure a table for dinner, one needs to call to make a reservation or to go there very early (before 6pm).

Not my first time visiting the place, it is only the seafood dishes that are the attention-grabbers, probably the only reason that my in-laws love frequenting the place. The rest of the typical tze char food on the menu in my opinion is only so so; one can probably get better tze char dishes elsewhere. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the main order of attraction for dinner last night which was the crab dishes: we had black pepper crab and steamed crab with garlic and egg. And for some reason, last night’s crabs were really humongous. We were so taken by the size of the crab claw we just had to take a pic, comparing its size to my bro-in-law’s hand:
