Burger Shack & Sogurt

Jun 15, 2010 19:40

Hubba read about a new exciting place for burgers and as usual, we headed straight down to try out the food. Destination: Burger Shack at King's Arcade.

The food:

Hubba's selection: BBQ Pulled Pork with caramelized onion and fries

My choice: Mushroom Suisse with garlic rice (option to change to rice instead of burger bread) with bacon strips.

Verdict:
Hubba: Fries was terrific. Burger was reminiscent of the Johnny Rocket burger we tasted in Washington.

Me: Beef patty was so-so even though it is supposed to be Wagyu beef. Mushrooms were a little cold. Rice tasted like chicken rice, so had a bit of fusion feel.

After we were done, we walked on and discover this place called Sogurt along the shophouses further down. This place features a pretty cool concept of mix-n-match yoghurt with toppings at $3.30/100g, from a total of 8 yoghurt flavours and more than 30 topping choices.

Hubba's: strawberry and red cake with 5 toppings

Mine: green tea & chocolate with 3 toppings

Verdict: The yoghurt tasted more like ice-cream than yoghurt and they are seriously delicious!
