A curse...
Yesterday I came home from work, only to find that my new pair of Adidas running shoes had been stolen! I had left them out in the recess area behind the grill door with my slippers instead of keeping them in the shoe cabinet as they needed to be aired from the previous day's usage. And along with my shoes, the pair of socks that I have left in the shoes had also been stolen.
Was really quite upset as I had only just bought this pair of shoes last month. Ranted at Hubba (and had a tiff over the matter) and my parents to complain about the injustice in the world, but in the end I knew it was my own fault for not keeping my shoes out of sight that caused someone to be tempted to steal them.
Made a trip down last night to purchase another pair, coz I wanted to go jogging today, and thankfully the price of the shoes had dropped since last month. Although this time round there was no offer. Now I'll be more careful and hide this pair of shoes in the house whenever I need to air them.
Woe betide to the disgusting person who stole my shoes. May the person be plagued with fungal infection of the very worse kind, and suffer from extreme smelly feet from the time they first wear the shoes. BAH!
