Monday off with "Watchmen"
Just came back from watching this movie together with hubby at Downtown East and I have to admit, it was pretty cool. Some stuff were out-of-this-world kind of things though, not quite sure if such things existed during the era they were supposed to be portraying, but heck! It still made the show fun. Not the typical super hero kind of show though... but shall not spoil it for others. You have to watch it to find out what it is about.
Think the Cathay cineplex at Downtown East is pretty cool. At least there was discount for weekdays, and popcorn was cheaper than GV's. Definitely our choice to watch movies next time rather than at GV, now that we've found an alternative with cheaper tickets and popcorn.
Tried out some new place for lunch too, this place called Mr Chicken Rice, that has been opened by the very famous chef for chicken rice from Chatterbox Meritus Mandarin, Mr Steven Lim. Not bad, but not fantastic. Think my mum-in-law's chicken rice is better. Though it did satisfy hubby's cravings for chicken rice.
Now whiling our time till we set off for our next event of the day, which is a date at Esplanade to attend a concert by of Montreal. Hoping time will slow down then, coz it will be back to work tomorrow!
