If I'd planned ahead, and gotten tickets before they sold out, I could be seeing Ben Folds right now. But I didn't, and I'm not, so LIVEJOURNAL TIME.

Since returning from Texas, I've either been snowed in, or dealing with a cold. Nothing too interesting or noteworthy there, I fear. And on top of that, it looks like we're gonna get hit by an even bigger storm in the near future! Well, at least the house's stocked with food and beers...though now that I think about it, I wonder if I should've gotten more beer. Beer is important, you know.

Oh! And speaking of beer, I did brew up another batch not too long ago! A Saison. Or, uh, at least it's supposed to be Saison-y. The wort came out as a little darker than I'd expected, but we'll see how it goes. I also tried something different, and tossed in an orange peel just for extra citrusy flavor. We'll see how it turns out. I'll bottle it on Wednesday, and then it's a matter of waiting a li'l longer to see how it turns out...

And I'll even have the time to do so! As I've gotten in contact with the Korea recruiter (remember that buisness?), and things are (finally) back on track. Looks like I'll be leaving for Seoul on Feb 22nd. Neat! And, uh, scarily close, if I take the time to think about it. Oop!

Still, this is more than enough time to get done the stuff I'd like to get done, really. And thus, plans!

FEB 3: Drive to Chicago.
FEB 4: Visa-getting paperwork bidness. Possibly other Chicago adventures, if I'm so inclined. This is of course provided that Chicago has recovered from the snowpocalypse and inevitable wampa invasion.

FEB 5: Might go see Kentucky Knife Fight , if I'm in town. Supporting local music before I go and all that. Snowpocalypse permitting, of course.

FEB 12: Might go see Fitz & The Tantrums . I just heard about them on the radio, and they seem like one of those bands that's guaranteed to give a good show.

FEB 18: Another show! This one's a choice between going to see The Toasters or the Asylum Street Spankers. Both of whom are very good bands. Though I'll prolly go to the Spankers show, even if it's more expensive- mostly because it's their farewell tour and all that. Which means I should probably get tickets in the near future!

AS OF YET UNDETERMINED DATES: Sell car (pity!), buy suitcases, pack suitcases, box up transformer toys properly and hide them someplace safe, tidy up other stuff, probably donate some old clothes to goodwill, ensure the proper storing of aged beer collection, possibly drink said beers, make farewells, throw one hell of a bon voyage party, and probably a bunch of other stuff I haven't thought of yet.

This is adventure, folks!
