So...we finally figured out the whole prom situacion. Woo-hoo!!!! And I'm actually starting to get excited about it. Everyone keeps telling me that these are the last few weeks we have and that we should be making the most of them instead of spending all of our time bitching about stupid stuff that really doesn't matter. So I'm gonna try to do that from now on. I'm gonna have fun at prom. I'm gonna make myself have fun. And everyone better dance with me, because I said so. You don't have a choice. And Taylour's coming!!!!!! I'm so unbelievably excited! It's next weekend and I still have nothing. So I think I need to go shopping tomorrow. All I have is my dress. I was supposed to go with the B and the K, but the B is housebound and I haven't heard anything from the K yet, so I think I'm gonna go with the madre. If she still wants to come she can bring her madre and it'll be a party. A party, I tell you.
International Day (or whatever they're calling it nowadays) is next week, Thursday or Friday, not sure which, and I'm working the Serbian table with Danka!!! I get to make the food so you all can tell me how yummy it is--not that I've ever made any of these things before. But I'm making nut roll and hopefully cheese pita or something else that's good and traditional but doesn't take my entire life to make. Carla, I know you're reading this because that's what you do, so you should come home and help me make it on Sunday at some point. I'll give you some to take back with you...And the rest of you all better come see us and try some of my comida. And if you don't, remember that "I could stab you with this and kill you!" as the K likes to say.
My only regret from today is that I went to seminar. I know one person who would be proud, but that definitely doesn't make up for it. I didn't get any work done anyway, and everyone else had so much fun. And I just realized that we only have one more seminar day. I actually thought I'd missed the last one, but it was just the last gold one, which is our traditional day to do it. Ah well, hopefully next week. Actually it might have been a good thing, because I spent that time talking to Miyako and figuring out what was going on with the lake and everything. I'm really happy with the way things worked out! And no one killed anyone in the process...this just proves that it is possible to do it with a group of 30+
The eyes on the mood icon are almost hypnotizing if you stare at them long enough. Just in case anyone was wondering.
