So, I get nosebleeds. A lot. If you have ever spent time with me, you have seen me dart to the bathroom and return sniffing gingerly ten minutes later. No, I'm not reliving the height of the 80's glory days in the bathroom. Trust me - snorting anything up my nose would be the worst idea ever. Apparently, I have a rather large blood vessel in my right nostril. And this blood vessel is also very close to the surface. Ergo - nosebleeds. Fun.
Anyway, I went to a specialist yesterday because I'm tired of my mother freaking out every time I get a nosebleed. He tried to cauterize it with silver nitrate - an easy and painless procedure. But no. My body can't make it easy. He has to get the electrical cauterizing machine and essentially burn the flesh in my nose. After giving me a shot in my septum! Ouch. It was so painful it made me concerned for how I'm going to react when I'm in labor. Ugh! It was horrible. And now I get to apply neosporin twice a day. I will not even get into the nastiness of neosporin up your nose. I probably shouldn't choose now to be modest about something, but it really is gross.
So that was my day yesterday. I chose not to return to work after that little experience. Once you electrocute me, I'm done.
