I had the nicest ride this morning in the rain. It was so good to just relax with my horse and go for a wander, especially in the midst of selling him.

Yesterday was madness. I spent seven hours shopping for all my family's xmas presents and then went out for dinner, drank too much sake and spent the next 4 hours in the company of friends and tea getting sober so I could drive home. Got home at quarter to 2. So much for the first day of my holiday. I need a day just to sit and read and drink tea and maybe have a granny nap at 2. Maybe then I will recover from the last 4 weeks of term.
Maybe I can do that after breakfast tomorrow. Breakfast tomorrow ends at midday. Crazy.
Anyway, Merry Christmas to all my friends. I hope you are as run off your feet with fun stuff as I am.
