hi
one of the things i love about living in vietnam is that i ride a motorbike everywhere. i love getting out of work at 9:30 to see my favorite xe om driver waiting for me, and getting on and buzzing past the open air cafes beaneath the palm trees. Or in the early morning, like today, the city cool and rainy at 7 am, the old man that lives next door to me gives me a ride to work. I always grab a rice bun filled with glass noodles and beef and partridge eggs and eat it on the back of the bike on the way to work. My little ritual.
And I'm used to teaching kids again. In fact, I'm liking it because I get to organize the class on my terms. I did make a boo boo last weekend though. I wanted to use a Lost episode to reward my teenager class onthelast day but then I accidentally showed the one where Charlie licks heroine out of a baggie in the plane restroom. Ooops. Hopefully there won't be any phone calls about that one.
Lastly, Jenne is coming March 4th!!! Hell yes! And she leaves March 9th. So that means I will be zipping home shortly thereafter. Home in time for my mom's birthday.
