Went to my first aerobics class today. I didn't realize what a workout those things are!
I also weighed myself both on my home scale & the gym one. I weighed myself with clothes on, but no food in my stomach. The gym one read 157.5, and the home one read about 158-159. I'm not going to list my Jan 1st goal as reached, though, until Jan 1st rolls around, because I need to STAY at 160 or under for it to count. I've gotten down to this weight in the past couple months, but could never go below because I'd always end up binging and then going back up to the 165 range.
However, I am doing things RIGHT this time, and so I have no fear of NOT reaching my Jan 1st goal. And I think that since I'm already about 158, I will have no problem getting down to 155 by the end of winter break. I really just need to break through 157.5, because, as I said, I'd always plateau there for a few days and then see my weight rise again as the binges occured.
I'm running the gauntlet today--meeting a friend at a bagel place for lunch (why, dear God WHY did she choose THERE to eat? The bagels are huge and they SMOTHER the things in cream cheese) and then to another friend's house for a cookie baking party. However, I'm learning that I can trust myself to handle these things and stay strong, so I might eat a little over, but I'm not going to binge and I might even come out at about the calorie range I want to be at, if I play my cards right.
Being healthy is my Christmas present to me.
