Hi. I'm in Minnesota now. So far I've fucked up in these ways:
- got lost twice
- locked my car keys in the car
- locked myself out of my room at 7:00 a.m. and had to pound on the door until I woke up my roommates
- forgot my toothpaste in Michigan
- left my lights on in my car
No big deal though. I'm not even stressed about it. I'm a scatter brain, and that's that. It's kind of funny. Really funny. My roommates laugh at every mistake I make. At least people smile.
Today was my first day at work. At least I didn't fuck up at work! I filled out a MILLION sheets, read a ZILLION sheets, and got certified in "Defensive Driving Techniques," which is good because I could use more knowledge in the driving department. I passed the test my first time and I beat most of the guys in the field crews. Just like fire fighting training. That's also funny, because I beat all of these people on these tests, when clearly I am not that great at the task itself. I am the youngest person in all of the field crews. Most of the employees are married (YIKES!). I am one of the oldest living in the dorms, which means I can't drink beer here. Double YIKES!
More excitement to come!
