But this time I swear I've kept tabs on the f-list, so I'm not a horrible lj friend.
So. Update!
Life: Is good. Also, it's hot and I'm busy so I have only been to the beach once. On Saturday. Which was cool, because Ernesto took me to Tarragona and we saw
rakshah. Oh the love!
Family: My brother cut off his hair, which had been very long (and tangled) for the past four years or so. He looks much prettier now. :D Also, my parents will leave for my grandad's village this weekend, and then on august my brother is going to the US and my parents to pretty!Provence or something, so it will be very nice and quiet and not (necessarily) eerily clean.
Boyfriend: Is very handsome. I didn't remember that going to the beach/swimming pool with him means that you get to wait an hour or so for him to get tired of fooling around in the water. *long-suffering sigh* He's like a very tall little boy. Love him.
Work: God I was so stressed! Didn't properly start the writing part of the prologue-writing until two days before I had to send it to my boss, because of paralyzing apprehension that had me checking other prologues to see just how things were phrased every two seconds. The boss likes it, though! It's in need of some expanding, which means further reading, but to more word-by-word comparisons needed! Also, he only requires Act I footnotes instead of all three acts' done by September. I'm relieved and happy and looking forward today's work.
Writing: Not abandoned, at all. Only stuck. These last months since my last update I've been scheming, rewriting chapter 9 like a crazy maniac, changing everyone's genealogy, figuring out everyone's feelings about everything, discussing P&P and generally wishing I had more creative&free time, as opposed to free&exhausted and busy&procrastinating. It's been weeks since I finished the first half, and the other day I had an idea about the whole Granada Plot Arc. Need to try out a few things but I'm really looking forward to it. :D
The Persuasion!Fic with
hlbr is on a nice path, too, though she has finished her three scenes and I'm barely done with one. :( But they are not too long! So I will rise to the occasion. :D You'll see it once it's all done and beta-ed.
Also, I discovered the other day a novel I started with Rak a couple of years ago. I didn't remember it was good! (not very modest of me, but... it is!) Needs work, though, needs lots of hours, so it will have to be a very slow thing and only once I'm done with Per!Fic at least.
Things that make me squee:
-I've joined Hele and other austenites in a Let's Read
Lover's Vows, the play they try to make in Mansfield Park. It's hilarious, like really bad soap-operas are. I'm having great fun.
-Watching The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Still at the beginning of the first season, though! ♥ Cameron. Also watching True Blood. :D :D :D
-I got an Amazon delivery today! Being Nikki by Meg Cabot and the first season of Chuck and other nifty things. I'm being a very strong person now, I'll let you know, since the natural thing would be to rush to Being Nikki in a futile attempt to be at rest after the end of Airhead. Airhead is about a very intelligent, nerdy, average looking girl that wakes up in a supermodel's body. And she wants her life back.
-I've been reading
The Ms.Scribe Story. It feels like watching a documentary on Alexander the Great or something like that. And it's very much entertaining, even if you don't know anyone.
-Infidels (in tv3) reached its end of season! :o But apparently there will be a second one and it was so, so cool... I went crazy and sent a crazy fangirly letter to the script-writers. I got a very cool and short reply, which is a bit sad. I guess they aren't used to mad fangirls! But tehy should be, oh yes.
-Also,
londres_2046 is made of win. I want time to play there too. ;_; Let's hope the footnotes on Act I are kind and easy and I get some holidays!
And, lucky for you, this post ends here because I really need to check where to find the articles I need to read. So. ♥ Google Scholar.
