Broken dreams at bargain prices
Like most other home buyers on the market, I'm looking for possible deals on short sales and foreclosures. Since my budget is already extremely tight, the reduced price might give me the little bit of extra buying power I need. I do have to admit, though, that it feels a little awkward shopping through the broken dreams of others. Short sales may even be more awkward given that I work with the person who is being forced into the short sale.
There aren't too many short sales in the areas I'm looking, so this could be a non-issue. I'd still buy a short sale home, though. Nothing I do does anything for former owner's shattered dreams.
