Don't hit me, but...

I'd forgotten how much I like early Marilyn Manson. Granted its very nostalgic for me as one of the first heavy bands I got seriously into (thanks in most part to Hellen) and was the soundtrack to my early teens (yeah, I know) when everything was all new and exciting and I was discovering drink, drugs and sex - just the sort of aged kids I really can't stand these days - but I think outside of that I also genuinely like the music. Its interesting to listen to with a few more years under my belt, when I'm not so wowed by the "weirdness" of it all and now that the band's all commercial, ironic since they were trying to be very anti-society. I was really getting into Cake and Sodomy when my MP3 player gave out :(

Thanks Zed for letting me raid your extensive music collection. I've been enjoying the New Model Army too. It has to be said that Marilyn Manson and Idlewild make odd bedfellows. Literally aswell as figuratively.

I just can't get the image of Hell's bedroom out of my head, every surface scrawled with Marilyn lyrics and mutilated dolls hanging from the ceiling...How things change :)
