Chapter 1 of this fanfic just broke 13,000 words. *Gulp*

That's a lot of words for a chapter that isn't even finished yet. Is that sort of verbiage even sustainable for someone who writes as sporadically as I? I mean, the odds of you even seeing this chapter before Christmas are slim and there should only be one (major) section of it left to go. Maybe I should learn to set goals.

Mostly I'm asking what I'm getting myself into, but I can't answer that and I hardly expect any of you to be able to either!
