i was there.

busy weekend.  frat party and Black Cat last night.  dancing, lots of dancing.  minimal drinking.  catching the last Metro back to campus.  eventually sleeping.

this morning was the anti-war rally/march.  you can read all about it in the Washington Post.  i was there.  there were so many people (United for Peace and Justice says about 400,000), it looked like a flash flood of people with signs, stickers, and spirit.  we heard so many people speak and agreed with some and disagreed with others, but then moved and marched.  the whole time i was walking behind an improvised marching band.  there was a clarinet and a tambourine, a set of drums, a saxophone, and a trombone.  one guy was playing a small frying pan that he'd tied to his belt.   war protests are sweet.

ventured next to TDR.  then to Arlington for the DC Flux / Counter-Culture Festival.  there was art, Post-It-ing, and poi.  also, a very excellent new record store.

tomorrow i have to do all the work i didn't do today.
