Although I still have a month and a half before I return to Long Beach, I am feeling very stressed out because I have less than 2 weeks left in Norwich. I had been planning on going on the Fell and Mountaineering Club trip to Scotland, but did not make it onto the list, because they had a limited number of spaces. This got me pretty upset at first, because it was my only opportunity to really see Scotland, even it is only the mountains.

Thankfully I was still going to have other vacations, visiting Jessica in Spain from the 14th - 18th, followed the next day with 5-day backpacking trip along Hadrian's Wall, the Roman construction that separates England and Scotland.

But then today found out there was an open space on the Scotland trip, because someone had dropped out. So now I am going on that trip as well. While, in theory, this is a good thing, it has increased my stress level dramatically. My vacation has been extended from the 14th - 23rd to the 8th - 23rd. At which point I will have only a week until I leave for a two week vacation with my parents on July 1st and then fly home on the 16th. Although this was my original plan, I had since adjusted my plan because I knew that I wasn't going to Scotland, so now those plans are thrown out of whack.

In my remaining 12 and half days here I have/want to do the following:• Write the introduction and first section of my dissertation (about 5,000 words) - this will also be worked on during my vacation
• Meet with my dissertation supervisor twice.
• Finish planning for all of my vacations.
• Host a Murder Mystery Dinner.
• Record my friend performing and interview him about his music.
• Record another friend reading her short story.
• Edit the two of these (highly unlikely)
• Figure out what stuff to take home and how to get it home.
• Apply for jobs and internships.
• Consume as much of my remaining food as possible.
• See my friends a few more times, before I never see them again. :( This thought is not fun regardless of how long I have left here in Norwich, but it is naturally becoming a stronger feeling as the days grow close.
• and plenty of other things I was hoping to do, that have in all likelihood been abandoned

Although in many ways I can't wait to get home to Long Beach and see all of my friends again and have a wonderfully jam-packed summer before I take the next step in life (whatever that ends up being), I have had such a great time here, I am reluctant to leave.
